Sports Broadcast Talent & Executive
Alex Margulies is Reno/San Diego based broadcaster and content executive with over 15 years of experience spanning live play-by-play, studio hosting, and full-scale sports production.
He currently operates within the global broadcast ecosystem of LIV Golf, while continuing to contribute across on-air and strategic initiatives at Nevada Sports Net, where he helped build and scale a regional sports network from inception.
His work includes:

Lead television play-by-play broadcaster for University of Nevada football and men’s basketball, operating in both on-air and executive production roles—overseeing broadcast execution, coordinating production teams, and managing end-to-end live event workflows within a regional rights environment

In addition to his on-air roles, Margulies oversees production workflows, talent coordination, and network-level content strategy, while also supporting sponsorship development and integrated brand partnerships—aligning content with commercial opportunities to drive network growth.
Margulies was instrumental in the launch of Nevada Sports Net in 2018 and has played a key role in its growth, contributing across on-air, content, and business development initiatives. He has been directly involved in broadcast rights and distribution efforts, including supporting the negotiation of an agreement with Scripps Sports to carry the Vegas Golden Knights on Nevada Sports Net, and coordinating with regional television partners to expand the distribution of NSN-produced live events.
Margulies brings extensive multi-sport experience at both the professional and collegiate levels, including television play-by-play for the Reno Aces and the Reno 1868 FC, where he served as the club’s primary television voice for four seasons. He has also contributed as a radio play-by-play broadcaster for University of Nevada athletics through Learfield since 2012.
Prior to his time in Reno, he spent four seasons as a full-time radio play-by-play broadcaster in Minor League Baseball, including roles with the Fort Myers Miracle and Modesto Nuts.
He is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Sport Administration.
